The thing that tipped him off was the dropped katana. Aya never dropped it unless something was wrong. Ignoring the weapon, he shifted, carefully tugging Aya back up into his arms before he pretty much dragged him back a bit more. Once they were safely out of sight, he settled him on the ground and crouched down next to him, openly concerned.
